Job description :
To provide administrative assistance and support on personal & commercial claims business.
Responsibilities :
- Liaising and providing feedback to clients of claim progress
- Handling client queries
- Claims Management: the daily claims process from capturing received claims to processing and closing claims.
- Validating the claims (consultant must first check if the claim falls within the policy parameters)
- Registering claims
- Collecting additional information from clients in respect of the claims
- Recording details and information on relevant systems
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Bridging the gap between the office and insurance companies
- Maintaining a good working relationship with insurers
- Reporting
- Good underwriting knowledge and understanding
- Understanding policy wording and various products
Minimum Requirements :
- Grade 12 / Matric
- NQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short-term insurance) as set by regulation
- Regulatory examination (Representatives) RE5 successfully completed
- A minimum of 2-3 years' claims experience
- Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel and Outlook)
